Volunteers are the backbone of MAM and the opportunities to be involved are plentiful. Call to set up an appointment to meet some of the staff, volunteers, tour the facility and learn more about MAM. Volunteer opportunities are available during the daytime, nighttime and on weekends.

Positions include:

  • Interviewing clients to assess needs
  • Counseling clients on employment opportunities, learn more
  • Entering data and serving as receptionist
  • Teaching or assisting in teaching English as a Second Language classes, learn more
  • Running the cash register in Resale Store, learn more
  • Processing and pricing donations
  • Assessing electrical appliances for sale-ability
  • Assisting customers
  • Arranging merchandise

Students (any student under 16 must be accompanied by an adult) and group volunteers are welcome.

If you cannot regularly volunteer, consider donating to a specific program:

  • Sponsor a child’s school uniform. Spring Branch ISD refers elementary and middle school students to MAM for the required school uniforms. Go to DONATE in our menu.
  • Donate diapers, baby wipes, cleaning supplies and paper products. Drop them off at the DONATIONS door at our building at 1625 Blalock Road.
  • Organize a collection with your friends, church, office or group.
  • Donate items to the Resale Store
  • Make a financial contribution
